Chitwan: At least 29 hotel runners of Sauraha in Chitwan have agreed to let their hotels to be used as holding centers for quarantine to accommodate around 500 people.
According to regional Hotel Association chairperson Deepak Bhattarai the list of hotels has been sent to the Ministry of Health and Population and the price per individual has been fixed at Rs 2000 to 3000 for food and accommodation.
There are 120 hotels at Sauraha and all are closed after lock down.
Similarly, 22 hotels of Bharatpur have also officially communicated with district administration office of Bharatpur to let their hotels for quarantine holding centers.
Likewise, Hotel and Restaurant business association and Hotel business association have also committed to let 9 each hotels for the quarantine holding centers. The hotels of this region have fixed their price for individual at Rs 1000 to 1500.
The hotels officials said other hotels could also be given for holding centers upon request at any time. The people returning home from abroad are staying in local quarantine centers now.
