1889 Nepalis returned home from UAE
Kathmandu: As many as 1889 Nepalis have returned home by Saturday after Nepal government initiated the steps to bring home all Nepalis stranded in foreign countries through chartered flights.
According to Nepali embassy in UAE stranded Nepalis from UAE were repatriated in between June 19 and 27.
At least 11 chartered flights were operated during this time and more chartered flights are being conducted said the officials.
These stranded Nepalis were anxiously waiting to return to Nepal after Covid-19 pandemic hit the world said a press statement issued by UAE located Nepali embassy.
These foreign returned Nepalis are being placed in the holding centers located in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur for normal health check up routine after which they would be sent to their respective provinces for 14 days stay in quarantine.
In case of the returnees able to show the negative PCR reports obtained from UAE, they could be sent for home quarantine.
