Lock down extended until July 22

Kathmandu: Nepal government on Monday late evening decided to extend the ongoing lockdown until July 22.

The cabinet meeting decided to continue with the current form of lock down to contain the deadly virus.

The domestic as well as international flights will remain suspended barring few emergency flights. The modality of the lock down will remain the same on seeing the rising cases of the virus in the country.

The government earlier wanted to change the modality of the lock down by seeing the containment of the virus cases. However, there has been high spike of virus cases in the recent days.

Nepal has reported 13,248 cases of Coronavirus and 29 deaths although  a total of 3,134 people have recovered from the deadly contagion so far.
