1342 Nepalis returned home from various countries
Kathmandu: A total of 1,342 Nepalis have returned home from five destinations on Wednesday according to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
The officials at TIA said as many as nine flights were conducted to bring the stranded passengers from various countries through chartered flights.
Nepal airlines evacuated 145 passengers from Qatar along with one dead body. NAC repatriated 257 passengers and 11 dead bodies from Saudi Arabia, while 146 passengers from United Arab Emirates (UAE) were also brought home.
The Himalaya Airlines also brought home 152 passengers from UAE and Fly Dubai repatriated 158 passengers. Meanwhile, Himalaya Airlines evacuated 152 passengers from Qatar, Malaysia Airlines evacuated 13 Nepalis from Malaysia and two aircraft of Jazeera Airways repatriated 159 and 160 passengers from Kuwait respectively.
