Covid-19 cases surge to 16168 in Nepal
Kathmandu: Covid-19 cases in Nepal has surged to as many as 16168 with 204 new cases found on Tuesday according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The Ministry during a press briefing in Kathmandu said the virus cases have started showing downward trend in the last few days.
The number of people recovering from this lethal epidemic is also gradually increasing as the total recovery cases soared to 7,499 as of this day with 688 more people discharged from the hospitals after recovery from this contagion.
The Ministry also said the Coronavirus cases are sparking in Kathmandu these days as the total virus cases within Kathmandu valley spiked to 267 with 28 additional cases found today.
Although, the Coronavirus has spread to 77 districts, four districts are still free from this lethal virus infection. These four districts include Terahthum, Bhojpur, Solukhumbu and Humla.
The total death tally due to Coronavirus is 35 so far. The maximum number of virus cases have been reported from Province 2, Province 5, followed by Karanli and Sudurpaschim provinces in the country.
With the speedy increased recovery cases of the virus infected patients the total active cases of virus in Nepal is 8634.
