Annapurna Tourism Master Plan being prepared
Pokhara: Annapurna Rural Muncipality of Kaski is chalking out Annapurna Tourism Master Plan in a bid to promote the tourist destinations at Rural Municipality level.The rural municipality envisions to prepare the tourism master plan with a view to focus on maximum possibility of the tourism prospects in the municipality by preparing documentaries based on natural, historical, and religious aspects.
Municipality chairman Yubraj Kunwar says the municipality will be turned into a tourism hub by promoting homestays along with focus on cultural values showcased.
He said preparations are being made to declare “Ghandruk village a cultural village for tourism development”.
Ghandruk cultural village is just like a museum of Gurung cultural heritage which is further beautified by its natural location and beauty.
So, much could be done in coordination with Province and the locals in this regard to promote the whole region of Annapurna.
Annual marathon is also being organized from Annapurna base camp to Ghandruk village to attract the tourists.
