Jalbire waterfall banned
Mungling: Jalbire waterfall which is one of the popular waterfall for the tourists in Chitwan has been banned with effect from Tuesday due to fear of Coronavirus being spread.
The waterfall was banned after tourists increased in this region to prevent the spreading spree of the deadly virus said Jalbire waterfall tourism development committee chair Dev Kumar Gurung.
Chairman Gurung said, “Since summer time is on and large number of people are coming to enjoy the fun with waterfall and there is great fear of virus infection due to large gathering of people as many as 100 on daily basis, we finally decided to ban the waterfall for the welfare of the public.”
Jalbire is one of the major attraction of foreingers too. Every year nearly 40,000 tourists visit this waterfall. Swimming, sliding, jumping, hiking and climbing and canoeing can be done here amid the beautiful natural surrounding and heart touching scenes.
