16,531 Covid-19 cases recorded in Nepal with 108 new cases

Kathmandu: Nepal reported as many as 16,531 Covid-19 cases with additional 108 new cases detected from across the country on Thursday according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The Ministry also said at least 139 people were discharged from various hospitals today after their recovery from deadly epidemic with which the total recovery cases reached 7891 as of this day. The death tally due to Covid-19 is 35 so far.

Update about overall active cases of Coronavirus

With the spike of recovery cases from deadly contagion, around half of the total infected cases are sustained in Nepal. The provincial level latest update on active cases of Coronavirus include:

Province one – Active cases 196

Province two – Active cases 2,024

Bagmati province -Active cases 429

Gandaki province -Active cases 862

Province five -Active cases 1,727

Karnali province -Active cases 405

Sudurpaschim province- Active cases 2,962

Although, the new Coronavirus cases found today is lowest recorded as compared to the previous virus cases, yet the impending risk of mass infection looms large as government decided to allow taxis and public transport to ply within the Kathmandu valley and within the districts outside the valley with safety measures.
