1,611 Nepalis repatriated through chartered flights

Kathmandu: As many as 1,611 Nepalis were repatriated through chartered flights from various countries on Friday.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and  the Tribhuvan International Airport authorities (TIA), at least nine chartered flights were operated to rescue the stranded Nepalis from various destinations.

Chartered flights of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), Himalaya Airlines, Korean Air, Air Arabia, SalamAir and Malindo Air were operated to repatriate the stranded Nepalis.

The government however, plans to stop repatriation flights from July 12 onwards.
