Nepal’s active cases of Covid-19 stands at 6,613 with recovery of 10,294

Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population on Monday reported that Nepal’s total active cases of Coronavirus stands at 6,613 with recovery of 10,294 people as of this day.

With the recovery of 1705 from deadly epidemic today the total number of people recovering from the deadly contagion spiked to 10,294 although the total confirmed virus cases spiked to 16,945 with 144 new cases found from across various parts of the country today.

The death tally due to Covid-19 is 38 so far. The number of Coronavirus cases are on decreasing trend perhaps because of less number of PCR tests as Nepal government does not have sufficient number of PCR test machines to detect more number of people suffering from virus infection.

The tourism industry has totally collapsed due to Covid-19 pandemic as flights remain suspended due to virus scare. The Ministry also claims that the recovery is 60.7% which is an optimistic indicator for the upcoming infected situation in the country.
