1,155 Nepalis along with 6 corpses brought home

Kathmandu: At least 1,155 Nepalis stranded in foreign countries along with 6 corpses were brought home on Saturday according to the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) officials.

The officials said Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) flight evacuated 258 Nepalis along with two corpses from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. NAC also repatriated 129 Nepalis and one coffin from Bahrain.

NAC also rescued 149 Nepalis from Doha in Qatar along with two dead bodies.

Himalaya Airlines rescued 139 stranded Nepalis from Bahrain and 156 people from Doha in Qatar.

Similarly, Qatar Airways carried out a cargo flight in which it brought one dead body of a Nepali from Doha. Air Arabia evacuated 167 people and Fly Dubai brought home at least 157 people from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Likewise, five repatriation flights were operated on Sunday for the rescue and repatriation of stranded Nepalis from abroad.
