Hiunchuli (6,441m) peak expedition

Hiunchuli peak is elevated 6,441 meters above the sea level and is one of the famous trekking trails and can provide climbing spree for the mountaineers in the Annapurna region near the south face of Annapurna south which is 7219 meters.

Hiunchuli peak expedition can be challenging climb as this expedition is embellished with magnificent panoramic glimpses of the Himalayas which offer serenity and a fantasy setting as if carefully portrayed by nature itself.

The expedition also offers a unique opportunity to be face to face with the Gurung community cultural traditions and way of life.

Hiunchuli peak expedition starts from Kathmandu and passes along the Pokhara to lead to Nayapul. The expedition leads us to Poonhill to observe the mesmerizing sunrise view over the towering mountains in the Annapurna region.

Hiunchuli Peak is ascended from the North-West Face. Climbing Hiunchuli is challenging and technical, so we need mountaineering skills along with the awareness of using trekking gears.

The expedition route passes through the icy rocks, glaciers, and steep slopes which requires fitness and prior climbing experience. Once you are on the top of the Hiunchuli peak, you are endowed with a spectacular snow-capped view of  Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV( 7525m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m), Mt Fishtail/ Machhapuchhre (6997m), Mt. Nilgiri (7061m), Lamjung Himal (6983m) and Tukuche peak (6920m).

The best season for the expedition is Spring and Autumn.

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 02 : Drive to Pokhara, overnight at hotel.

Day 04 : Drive to Phedi and start trek to Tolka, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 05 : Trek to Jhinu, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 06 : Trek to Dovan, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 07 : Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 09 : Trek to Hiunchuli Base Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Day 10 : Ascent to Hiunchuli High Camp, overnight at tented camp.

Day 11 : Summit Hiunchuli and back to Annapurna Base Camp, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 12 : Trek to Bamboo, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 13 : Trek to Chhomrong, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 14 : Trek to Ghandruk, overnight at guesthouse.

Day 15 : Trek to Naya Pul and drive back to Pokhara, overnight at hotel.

Day 16 : Drive back to Kathmandu
