Domestic and international flights to take off from August 17
Kathmandu: All domestic and international flights are to take off from August 17 according to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The ministry officials confirmed that the civil aviation department has been directed to resume the flights from August 17 and make preparations accordingly.
All domestic and international flights were suspended following Covid-19 pandemic and nationwide lock down in the country from March 24.
The officials also said that the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has already prepared essential guidelines including safety protocols to resume domestic and international flights as per the standards set by the International Civil Aviation Authority Nepal and the World Health Organization.
It may be recalled that the tourism operators have been demanding for operation of domestic flights from August 1 and international flights from August 15.
