Nepal government lifts lockdown from Tuesday midnight

Kathmandu: Nepal government has finally decided to lift the four month long nationwide lockdown imposed to contain Covid-19 with effect from Tuesday midnight.

The cabinet meeting of the government held on Monday decided to end the nation wide lock down in the wake of scarce of Coronavirus in the country.

The meeting also decided to allow both domestic and international flights and long route transports to be operated from August 17 onwards.

The school new session and admission will also be open from August 17.

The meeting also decided to open hotels and restaurants from July 30 although big gatherings, seminars, saloons, SPA and religious gathering are still banned.

The government meeting also allowed tourism sector to open mountain climbing activities from the upcoming autumn season.
