Padmasambhav trekking trail to be corner stone for tourism: Tourism Minister
Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that Padmasambhav trekking trail will be a corner stone for tourism and development of Nepal in the days to come.
The Minister Bhattarai while speaking to the stakeholders of Barbara Foundation on Thursday said the the trekking trail based on Buddhist theology and holding multifold significant cultural aspects will certainly boost up the tourism sector by increasing the Chinese and Tibetan visitors and their stay in Nepal.
The Minister also opined that the budget has been allocated for the trail in the current fiscal year and essential arrangements have been made in this regard.
“This trail will also further promote international cultural tourism hub as Nepal is the core of Buddhism related cultural tourism,” said the Minister.
“Padmasambha being the chief preacher of Buddhism in various parts of Nepal is the main theme that can promote cultural tourism and attract hundreds and thousands of Tibetan tourists,” added the Minister.
Prof.Dr. Ramesh Kumar Dhungel also said that Padmasambhav trail will play an important role in promoting international cultural tourism.
