Flights and long distance transports suspended until August 31

Kathmandu: Flights and long distance public transports are to remain suspended until August 31 according to a cabinet decision made on Monday.

The cabinet meeting held Monday decided to suspend all flights and long distance public vehicles until August end in a bid to prevent the spreading spree of the Coronavirus.

The meeting also decided to allow big industries and factories to run with safety measures adopted for their working staff and restrict the cross border points to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

Earlier, the meeting of Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) had recommended the government to postpone the plan to resume flights and long distance public vehicles for 15 days.
