500 Nepalis to return home daily from August 17
Kathmandu: Nepal government is preparing to bring home as many as 500 stranded Nepalis home daily from August 17 in the next phase.
Nepal airlines and Himalya airlines will be conducting chartered flights to repatriate the stranded Nepalis abroad due to Covid-19 pandemic and lock down.
According to the new flight schedule, the Nepal airlines will operate repatriation flights from August 17 to 31, while Himalaya airlines will operate from August 16 to 30.
Although government had decided to open both domestic and international flights from August 17, yet due to increasing risk of the Covid-19 the flights have been suspended until the end of August.
More than 50,662 stranded Nepalis from abroad have been brought home as of this day.
