Repatriation flights postponed
Kathmandu: Nepal government has postponed the chartered flights to rescue the stranded Nepalis abroad.
The Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee of the government decided to postpone the repatriation flights and asked the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to put off the scheduled flights.
The government decision to postpone the flights comes after concluding that the country is seeing high spike in the Coronavirus and the hotels which are meant to accommodate the incoming Nepalis from abroad are not well prepared for quarantine.
The cabinet meeting held on Monday said the flights were suspended as per the suggestions of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Committee for the time being until the Hotels confirm that they are ready with all quarantine facilities.
