437 passengers arrived and 300 departed

Kathmandu: As many as seven international flights conducted arrival and departure operations at Tribhuvan International Airport on Thursday.

The number of arriving passengers was 437 while that of departing passengers from the airport was 300 according to the airport officials.

Nepal Airlines has brought in 154 passengers with two dead bodies while Himalaya Airlines has repatriated 263 passengers along with four dead bodies.

Likewise, Turkish Airlines has brought in 20 passengers from Istanbul and returned with 203 passengers and four children onboard.

On Friday too, Nepal Airlines,Himalaya Airlines and Qatar Airline will be conducting four evacuation flights to Kathmandu as per the flight schedule.

Similarly, towards the domestic chartered flights, Tara, Sita, Manag, Sree air and Summit air helicopters operated flights to various destinations.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation and Ministry of Health and Population said that the PCR report will be considered valid and authentic if it is done in the health institute approved by the both ministries.

The Ministries have written to Nepal Civil Aviation department not to conduct PCR randomly from places not approved and consider it validated arbitrarily.

Legal action will be taken against such anomalies said the Ministry circulation letter. The Ministry is said to have acted on complaints received regarding such malpractices connected with PCR report.

The government has already made it mandatory for all arriving foreign returnees to stay in quarantine centers for one week before departing to their respective destinations.
