Kapasebhanjyang in Khotang becoming attractive

Khotang: Kapasbhanjyang is one of the attractive tourist destinations in Khotang yet the inflow of tourists is almost negligible due to fear of Coronavirus.
The lack of publicity about this tourist destination in Khotang has also caused less number of tourists to visit this place. In the recent times, the local authorities have expedited the works related to development of infrastructure in this area.
Both Khotang rural municipality and Bhojpur Tempke Mayung rural municipality have jointly pushed forward the infrastructure development of this spot with supportive investment from provincial as well as federal government.
A nine member working committee under the leadership of Sane Biswakarma has also been formed to push forward the progress of the works.
Kiranti community festival -Sakela and Udhauli
An undertaking for construction of an integrated family colony for 87 households here is also in pipeline where Kirant festivals such as Sakela and Udhauli can be organized here according to social campaigner Rupen Rai.
Both provincial and federal governments have allocated an amount of Rs one million each for the construction of multipurpose tourism garden here. This park will showcase at least 16 statues of national luminaries.
According to chair of Temkemayung rural municipality Dhruba Kumar Rai, the Kapasebhanjyang will be connected with Mundhum trekking trail, and with Mt Everest trekking trail through Bhojpur in near future.
Plans are also said to be underway to make this spot one of the main tourist spot in Khotang said Pradip Rai, who is chair of Khotehang rural municipality.
Tourism development here will boost up the local economy and enhance the job opportunities for the locals said Rai (RSS).
