Infrastructure around valley to accommodate 5,00,000 tourists to be prepared
Kathmandu: The Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has directed Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to prepare tourism physical infrastructure around Katmandu valley to accommodate at least 5,00,000 tourists.
In a discussion meeting held on Monday with the Board of Directors of NTB the Minister Bhattarai directed them to submit the feasibility report about preparing infrastructure around Kathmandu valley with facilities of cycling trail and trekking trail.
The Minister also directed them to open NTB branches at provincial level too and prepare publicity materials in Nepali, Hindi, Chinese, Arab, Portuguese and Spanish languages.
The Minister also asked the board of directors to curtail the expenditures done abroad and within the country. He also asked them to prepare virtual tour packages related to world heritages, Himal trekking and national parks etc.
He directed the NTB directors to engage in investigative research works and prepare reports about tourism regions and prepare videos and publicity materials while being proactive to provide socio-counseling to address the problems faced in the tourism sector.
