Domestic airlines to resume flights from Monday

Shree Airlines begins commercial flight to Pokhara
Kathmandu: Nepal’s domestic airlines are to resume regular flight services from Monday onwards (Sept 21) after remaining suspended since March following Covid-19 pandemic and lock down.

The domestic airline operators have been pressurizing the government to let them resume their services in the face of upcoming festivals like Dashain and Tihar when the load of passengers is increased.

The airlines operators have also been demanding 100 percent occupancy and deferring their services despite government’s nod for them to resume flights from September 17.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has already circulated the health safety protocols to be followed by the airline operators and the airport authorities.
