NARA urges government to reopen rafting and kayaking

Kathmandu: The umbrella organization  of rafting agencies -Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) has urged the government to reopen water sports such as rafting and kayaking which are the major attractions of Nepali tourism.

Recalling that tourism activities like mountaineering have resumed after lockdown and prohibitory order, the NARA asked in writing to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to consider reopening adventurous water sports to revive the ailing tourism  industry.

There are around 10,000 people working in the field of rafting and kayaking whose hopes of survival is being staked due to closure of the tourism activities.
