Gurung appointed as Director of Tourism Department of GP Koirala Foundation
Kathmandu: The General Secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association (MNA), Kul Bahadur Gurung, has been appointed to the post of Director of tourism department of Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation ( GP Koirala Foundation).
The working committee of the foundation formed and named after the former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and former President of Nepali Congress in a meeting on Thursday appointed tourism entrepreneur Gurung as the director of the foundation for a term of two years.
The newly appointed director Gurung is expected to contribute substantially towards tourism sector research, promotion and development works by holding the responsibility of the director of the foundation.
Former Deputy Prime Minister and daughter of Koirala, Sujata Koirala is the chairperson of the foundation that works for education, health and tourism sector
Earlier, Gurung was also appointed to the post of management secretariat of International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA).
