Canoeing training begins at Dharche

Dharche: Canoeing skill development training has been conducted at Dharche Rural Municipality in Gorkha district.

The Dharche Rural Municipality has organized this training under Small Entrepreneurship Development Program for poverty alleviation, and the technical part of this training was coordinated by Dharche tourism promotion committee

The training was aimed at Nyauli waterfall which has ample opportunities and potentialities for canoeing in the region according to municipality-4 chairperson Raj Gurung.

The training was also cosponsored by Nepal Tourism Board and Manaslu Foundation. The six day long training has began from Saturday.

The Municipality chairperson Santosh Gurung said that the youths after undergoing the training should contribute to development of tourism in the locality. A total of 20 participants including male and females have participated in the training.
