Sailung is very captivating from natural and religious point of view. Tourists have been attracted to Sailung rural municipality due to construction of tourist trail. The Sailung danda can be reached in three hours from district headquarter Charikot.

Most of the parts of Dolkha can be viewed from this Sailung danda which is around 3200 meters high. Various peak ranges including Gaurishanker can be be seen from here. Hotels and lodges have been managed at Kalapani and Dhunge according to rural municipality chairman Bharat Prasad Dulal.

Hustle and Bustle after opening of temples and monasteries

Hustle and bustle of domestic tourists have started in and around Charikot after temples and monasteries opened which were shut down by local administration following Covid-19.

The local administration has allowed the opening of Kalinchok temple, Bhimeswor and Sailung danda after adopting safety measures.

Thousands of tourists throng to Kalinchok temple in seasons. The tourists are captivated by snow fall and green grazing meadows of yaks here. Dolkha is the nearest destination for the people of Kathmandu. Charikot from Kathmandu can be reached via road which is just 132km far away. All types of tourists visit Dolkha which is naturally, culturally and religiously romantic.

Domestic tourists have started arriving here despite no season for snow fall to see Sailung and Bhiweswor temple of Dolkha.The climate of this place is neither too hot nor too cold. So, it is suitable for the tourists.
