Promotion of Chhimkeshory initiated

A festival was planed for the publicity of the religious touristic importance of the temple, but was postponed because of the Covid-19 according to the rural municipality chairman Gir Bahadur Thapa.
The communication means and transport means are few key development aspect which are being promoted to make this region more accessible for the outside visitors.
This popular temple can be reached after a drive of 15 km from Abukhaireni and then trekking to Chhimkeshwori.
Captivating peaks of Saipal, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Boudha Himal can be seen from here.
The main priest of the temple Dhanraj Gurung said that many devotees (50 to 100 daily) used to come from various surrounding districts to visit this temple. However, the number of visitors visiting this temple have dwindled due to Covid-19.
To reach the popular temple, trekking route and railing are being constructed with the financial support of Gandaki provincial government for which a budget of around 4 million rupees has already been allocated.
Chhimkeshwori Tourism Development Committee chairman Til Bahadur Gurung said the devotees and common men will feel it easy to reach the temple region after trekking route and railings are constructed.
Preparations for 13 Home stays are also underway to allow visitors coming here to stay in comfortable rooms with local organic food to eat and observe the local cultures.
As many as 50-60 domestic tourists can be accommodated in these home stays.
