Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the year 2021 will be pushed forward to be observed as domestic tourism year.
While addressing a program “The Impact of Covid-19 in tourism and future roadmap” organized by central committee of authorized trade union of civil servants on Friday, Minister Bhattarai expressed that, for one more year the foreign tourists will not be expected, despite Covid-19 vaccines being used, so domestic tourism should be relied upon to prevent the tourism sector from collapsing.
The thematic papers were presented by Nepal Tourism Board’s chief executive officer Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) chairperson Srijana Rana and officer Rachana Pradhan of the tourism ministry.
The presented thematic papers were commented by Sub Secretary Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane, Komal Prasad Bhattarai, general director of tousim department Rudra Sing Tamang and Dr. Bijaya Poudel.
