Tourists offered 50% discount on Ultralight flights

Pokhara: Domestic tourists aspiring to enjoy the adventure of ultra-light flights in Pokhara are to get a discount of 50% these days.

Tourism entrepreneurs engaged in Ultralight flights and gyrocopters in Pokhara are offering 50% discounts in all kinds of flight services for the tourists in a bid to revive the ailing tourism industry following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The massive discount offer has been offered with a view to lure the domestic tourists in the wake of a decreased number of foreign tourists after the epidemic hard hit the tourism industry.

Most of the flight operators said they were bound to resort to offering discount rates to cope up with the harsh circumstances in the tourism sector.

According to ultra-light flight operators, the prices for flights have been reduced from 38000 to Rs 19000 for an hour and Rs 20,000 to Rs 9500 for 30 minutes and for Rs 11000 to Rs 5500 for 15 minutes.

Similarly, domestic tourists can now fly in Gyrocopter for a discounted rate of Rs 6500 for 15 minutes which was Rs 13000 previously.
