Qatari climber scales Mt Ama Dablam

Kathmandu: Qatari climber and adventurer Fahad Badar has reportedly climbed Mount Ama Dablam recently according to thepeninsulaqatar.com on Monday.
“Badar, the first Arab man to summit Everest and Lhotse in a single trip, reached the summit of Ama Dablam on Jan 14,” wrote the Qatari online media.
The Ama Dablam elevated at an altitude of 6,856 meters above sea level and located in the Himalayan region has always been a popular mountaineering destination for the alpinists added media.
The Qatari online portal quoted Badar as saying, “I was looking forward to reaching the summit of Ama Dablam. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve been away from the mountains, and I have the need to return to the place where I feel the most alive.”
Badar also mentioned how important it was to train his mind to summit the popular peak amidst harsh climatic conditions in the winter season and where the expeditions were canceled due to COVID-19.
