Jugal Himal trekking near Kathmandu
Jugal Himal (6151m) or also popularly known as Gyalchen peak is the shortest trekking destination near Kathmandu valley which can be enjoyed within 15/16 days only.
This peak came to sudden limelight immediately after mountaineer Maya Gurung summited this peak for the first time along with her associates on April 9, 2019.
The Jugal Himal peak is only 145 km far away from Kathmandu by road. Actually, the whole Jugal Himal range has a number of 11 peaks of which many have not been climbed so far by any climbers as they been overlooked by the department of tourism and other stakeholders for various reasons unspecified.
The stunning and wonderful trekking trail to this peak reveals a panoramic view of Phurbaghechyu 6,637 m, Jugal Yangri Peak 6,535 m, Gyalzen Peak 6,151 m, Dorje Lakpa 6,966 m, Gumba Chuli, Langpogang West 6,979 m, Bhairav Takura 6,799 m, Langtang range, and Gaurishankar Range.
