18 dead bodies brought home from Malaysia
Kathmandu: Nepal Airlines has brought home 18 dead bodies of migrant Nepali workers stuck in Malaysia on Saturday.
According to Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) authorities, the corporation’s-wide-body -B-300 brought home the dead bodies of Nepali workers from the capital Kuala Lumpur at Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday morning.
One more dead body was also brought from Bahrain. The Kathmandu airport area seemed to be silence and mournful with sobbing of nearest and dearest of the deceased ones as the relatives of the dead ones received the coffin boxes, said the airport authorities.
The dead bodies of the migrant Nepali workers had remained stuck in Malaysia after the other flights carrying passengers to Nepal could not bring in the dead bodies.
The NAC has been operating evacuation flights to various destinations to rescue the stranded Nepalis abroad from time to time despite lockdown and Covid-19 pandemic.
