8874 tourists welcomed in January

Kathmandu: As many as 8,874 foreign tourists have been welcomed in Nepal in the month of January 2021 after the imposition of lock down due to Covid-19 pandemic.

According to data of the Department of Immigration (DoI), foreign tourists  from 121 countries had arrived in January which includes 4,028 Indians and 1,877 Chinese.

Likewise, 874 tourists  were the US nationals, followed by 136 from the United Kingdom and 113 from Turkey.

The resumption of flight services and the increased COVID-19 vaccination drive globally has contributed to increment in the inflow of foreign tourists in Nepal said DoI.
