Jhapa’s 10 tourist spots among 200 new destinations
Jhapa: As many as ten tourist spots in Jhapa are among the 200 new tourist destinations selected by the government to promote tourism in the country.
More than 480 million rupees for the promotion of the new destinations have been allocated by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The ten new tourist destinations of Jhapa included in the list of 200 tourist destination are Haluwagadh in Arjundhara, Domukha in Shivasatakshi, Kankai community botanical garden in Kankai, Science City in Bhadrapur, Bhegadhi Democratic Martyrs Memorial Park in Haldibarai, Sadhupati Falls, and wetlands in Barhadashi, Kechana of Kachankewal and Korobari wetlands in Gaurigunj.
Rs 50 million is expected to be spent on each of these projects. The Ministry has set aside Rs 330 million for the same this year, and the local resources will be mobilized for the remaining cost according to the Ministry sources.
