Bahrain Royal family to climb Mt Everest
Kathmandu: A 16-member team comprising a member of royal family of Bahrain is arriving here to climb Mt Everest.
The team includes the Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Issuing a press release, Nepali Embassy in Bahrain, informed that it has been confirmed that the team will leave for Nepal on March 15.
Some members of the team met with Nepali Ambassador to Bahrain, Padam Sundas, at the Embassy on Thursday and informed about this.
The team comprising 13 Bahrainis working at Bahrain Royal Guard (Defense Force) and three British nationals would stay in Nepal for 79 days.
The team is arriving here on a special flight. According to the Embassy, Seven Summit Trekkers Pvt Ltd in Nepal has been making other necessary arrangements for climbing Mt Everest. The team had successfully climbed Lobuche Peak and Mt Manaslu in 2020 (RSS).
