Painting exhibition about mountain life

Kathmandu. An exhibition of paintings by Nar Bahadur BK is being held in the capital.

The ongoing exhibition at Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal will run from January 30 to March 17. This is the 17th painting exhibition. It contains more than 500 pictures of mountain life. The exhibition is organized by Art Club, Nepal.

According to BK, pictures of Everest, Annapurna, Langtang region as well as Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Ghandruk are included in the painting exhibition. He says, “These paintings are made in the acrylic color on canvas.”

With between 20 and 25 visitors a day, more people are coming to see the exhibition on Saturday.BK said the minimum price of his paintings ranged from Rs 5,000 to Rs 30,000. “These pictures are not photocopies, I have drawn them from direct observation of the places I have visited,” BK added.

BK has been painting for the last 22 years. This is his first painting exhibition since the Covid-19 pandemic.
