Bahraini Prince Khalifa’s team in Nepal
Kathmandu. A team of 16 people including Prince Sheikh Mohammed Amad Al Khalifa of Bahrain has arrived in Nepal to climb Mt. Everest.
The team includes the prince as well as members of the Royal Guards. They landed in Kathmandu on Monday aboard a Bahrain Defense Force military ship. The team includes 13 Bahraini nationals including the prince and 3 British nationals.
The same team had climbed Lobuche and Manaslu in October with special permission from the government of Nepal when Coronavirus had made the world terrible and Nepal was also at a standstill.
Seven Summit Treks, which managed the climb, said at the time that the team had climbed the two mountains for training and that their goal was to climb Mt. Everest. The team has come to climb Mt. Everest as per the plan. They will stay in Nepal for at least 80 days. Earlier, the team had climbed Lobuche and Manaslu in October 2020.
