Homestay operators for setting operating procedures
Kathmandu: All Homestay operators from across the country have collectively demanded that the Nepal government should promptly set a standard and an operating procedure for their homestay business.
The homestay association at a concluding workshop recently said such a standard and operating procedure were essential to control and prevent various malpractices from being practiced in the homestay business.
The association asserted that it would also develop its own standard incorporating various aspects such as branding, classification, quality, and recognition including a code of conduct for the visitors also.
The association demanded that punitive actions should be initiated against the wrongdoers and proper monitoring of the ongoing malpractices should be done to curb such practices.
