Although there are two tourist hotels around Rara, there is a problem in keeping enough tourists. Rabin Dahal of Nepalgunj, who came to visit Rara, said that there was a problem in staying in Rara due to a lack of good hotels.
As the number of tourists in Rara has increased, hoteliers, horse traders, and boatmen have also started flocking to Rara. According to local devotee Rokaya, the tourists are taken on horseback to Murma, Zyari, Pina, Sigadi, Mathitum and other villages.
