10,000 domestic tourists arrive in Bandipur in New Year

Damauli. It is estimated that ten thousand tourists have arrived in Bandipur alone on the occasion of the New Year. Secretary of the Bandipur Tourism Development Committee, Basanta Poudel, informed that Bandipur is full in the New Year. They were all domestic tourists.

“As the New Year approaches, Bandipur is full of domestic tourists,” he said. “Bandipur’s Tundikhel, the main market is crowded with tourists.”  A program is held in Bandipur every year on the occasion of New Year. This year, no stage program has been held.

Even though there is no stage program, every hotelier has performed in front of his hotel. Director of Himalaya Durbar Hotel, Vaish Gurung, said that the number of tourists staying in the city was high even though the number of tourists staying in the hotel was low. “The number of tourists staying in Bandipur is low at the moment.

The number of tourists visiting Bandipur is encouraging,” he said. From Bandipur, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, and other mountain ranges can be seen. Houses built in Bhaktapur, Tundikhel, Thanimai, Tindhara, Raniwan, Ramkot, Sunkhari, Khaddevi temple, Vindhyavasini temple, Mahalakshmi temple, information center, and other places have become the center of attraction for tourists.

The Bandipur municipality is emphasizing the construction of various infrastructures to attract tourists. The Mini Great Wall, which is being constructed to give a glimpse of the Great Wall of China, has also attracted the attention of tourists. Chairman of the village municipality Purna Singh Thapa informed that tourists visit the Mini Great Wall under construction.

Similarly, the public’s interest has also increased in the parks located in Beas Municipality-3 and 5 of the district. There is a huge crowd of young people going to the park and taking photos and tickets. Lately, these two parks have been the choice of tourists.

Crowds of internal devotees have also increased at the famous Chhabdibarahi temple at Beas-14. Similarly, the crowd of devotees at Dhorbarahi temple in Shuklagand Municipality-9 has also increased, said Ward Chairman Lok Narayan Shrestha.
