Attraction of Ayerpani Community Homestay among domestic tourists
Syangja. Ayerpani Homestay in Fedikhola Rural Municipality-1 has recently become the choice of domestic tourists.
Ayerpani can be reached from Kubinde on the Siddhartha Highway from Pokhara via the tourist village Ramkot Mattikhan.
After reaching Kubinde 14 km south of Pokhara and 7 km south-east from there, Ayerpani is reached. The Ayerpani Community Homestay, which was started in 2020 by registering 9 houses, has now reached 20 houses.
Gurung, Brahmin and Dalit settlements in this village, is gradually facing the increasing pressure of domestic tourists. Sapna Gurung, chairperson of the Homestay Management Committee, said that more than 200 guests came and stayed last April alone.
According to him, the guests like the local taste and organic food. Due to the second wave of corona, the locals are confident that the visitors will come again after the epidemic recedes. This year, the Gandaki government’s Ministry of Tourism has given a grant of Rs 1 million to the community home stay.
The work of laying stones on the way to the houses of the entire village is underway with the additional labor of two hundred thousand rupees. Secretary of the Homestay Management Committee Raj Kumar Gurung said that 90 percent of the work has been completed.
Ward no-1, of Fedikhola Rural Municipality ward Chairman Khim Bahadur Chhetri said that the ward office has released a budget of Rs one hundred thousand rupees for the construction of a blue roof in this village.
Tourists arriving here will be able to visit the Indra Temple and enjoy the fragrance of Rhododendron flowers, and can observe the Machhapuchhre Himal.
