22450 tourists visited Nepal in April

Kathmandu: As many as 22450 tourists have visited Nepal in the month of April despite surging cases of Coronavirus in the country.

According to data revealed by the Department of Immigration (DoI) showed that  22,450 visitors from 144 countries had arrived in Nepal in the previous month. Of the total tourists who arrived included 17,514 men and 4,819 women.

The Indian tourists have outnumbered the number of tourists as the Indian tourists’ number outreached 13,202 individuals.

Similarly, S803 Chinese tourists have visited the country in the same period. The overflow of tourists in the country has been due to sudden drop in the cases of Coronavirus in the country since January 2021.

In January, 8,874 tourists arrived in Nepal,  9,146 tourists in February and the number  stood at 14,977  in March.
