Kathmandu: Regular visas for foreigners departing from Nepal during the Covid-19 pandemic, will be issued from the Immigration Office, Tribhuvan Airport at the time of departure, though the Immigration Department has shut down all its services except essentials from today.
Earlier, the department was working by reducing office hours. According to the department, the work related to the facilitation of departure of foreigners stranded in Nepal during this period will be regular.
Work related to the deportation of foreigners assigned by the Immigration Department, prisons, and other bodies will also be regular.
If a minor born in Nepal and obtaining a foreign passport leaves abroad during this period, the work related to the entry visa issued to him/her will also continue.
Foreigners residing in Nepal can avail themselves of the services without any fee or penalty for one week after the ban is lifted.
