Kathmandu valley prohibitory orders extended by a week

Kathmandu: The chief district officers (CDOs) of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts of Kathmandu valley have decided to further extend the ongoing prohibitory order by a week more to contain the spreading spree of the COVID-19 infection in the valley.

A meeting of the (CDOs) of Kathmandu valley made the decision to extend the prohibitory orders by one week as the cases of Covid-19 does not seem to decrease in the recent days despite imposition of shut down in the valley.

With this decision the prohibitory orders will remain effective until June 3 mid night according to the CDOs meeting. The meeting also has decided to further intensify the measures to enforce the implementation of strict orders in order to prevent the infectious lethal epidemic.

The meeting also decided to shut down the grocery shops and allow the opening of medicines, milk, vegetables and food items only till 9 a.m.
