Pilgrims’ rest house being constructed in Faktalung Himal 

Phungling. Pilgrims’ rest house is being built at the foot of the mountain in Faktanglung Gaonpalika-6 of Taplejung at an altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level. 

The pilgrims’ house (Devotees’ rest house) is being constructed under the leadership of Senchei Faktanglung Conservation and Promotion Committee, said committee chairperson Deepak Tammaden.

He informed that a the rest house is being constructed for the visitors to the Faktanglung Himal, which is the center of the holy religious faith of the Kirat religion followers.

Secretary of the committee Kedar Jung Limbu said that the construction of the Bhaktashala will be done by collecting Rs. 6 million from well wishers living abroad and Rs 1 million from provincial government 1.

The devotees’ house under construction will have a seating capacity of 300 people. According to Limbu, Kirati travel to Faktanglung, a pilgrimage site at the foot of high mountains, every year.

Gyanu Furumbo, advisor to the committee, said that the house is being constructed as the pilgrims have to face the problem of snow in the past year. Fagunand Lingden, the 16th National Eminent Person, had a history of reaching Faktanglung for the first time in 1993 with 150 disciples.

After that, the practice of going on pilgrimage to Faktanglang developed, said Furumbo.
