Monsoon arrives in Nepal

Kathmandu: Monsoon has arrived in Nepal with heavy rainfall occurring sporadically across the country from Friday.

The Monsoon set in in Province 1, Province 2 and Bagmati Province due to the impact of low pressure wind developed in the Bay of Bengal of India.

According to meteorological and weather forecasting department, the  Monsoon will  prevail across the nation for a few days.

The department has cautioned the people living along the banks of the rivers against floods and landslides that may occur following the heavy rainfall in various parts of the country as the monsoon will be active from the upcoming week.

.Usually, monsoon begins from June 13 and ends on October 2 in Nepal. It is expected to witness more than average rainfall during the monsoon this year.
