Tourist bus services resumed in Kathmamndu
Kathmandu: Tourist bus service has been resumed in Kathmandu for various tourist destinations including Pokhara and Chitwan.
According to the Tourist Bus Operators, the tourist bus service has been resumed after closure for nearly one and half years following havoc created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Tourist Bus Operators said at least two buses for Pokhara and one bus for Chitwan are leaving Kathmandu daily by carrying both foreign and domestic tourists.
The Bus operators also said that the number of buses for other areas such as Lumbini, Janakpur, and Birgunj also could be started after assessing the situation.
Usually, more than 100 tourist buses are supposed to be seen plying on the roads of Kathmandu-Pokhara daily.
The operators have ensured the proper health and sanitary measure to contain the Covid-19 pandemic by maintaining physical distance and use of masks, sanitizers, and other relevant health protocols.
