Passengers traveling to Lukla need PCR test report or Covid-19 vaccination

Lukla:  Foreigners and tourists traveling to Lukla airport via flights are required to show their PCR test report or Covid-19 vaccination report according  to Khumbu Pasang Lhamu rural municipality of the Solukhumbu district.

In a circular issued to all airlines companies recently, the rural municipality’s Chief District Officer Sujan Kumar Budhathoki said passenger able to produce one of these documents will only be allowed to enter the Khumbu region.

Budhathoki also  confirmed that more than 98 per cent of the citizens in the rural municipality have already been inoculated against the lethal contagion.

The circular comes in the wake of hundreds and thousands of foreigners likely to travel to the Khumbu and Everest region in the autumn for trekking.
