Ambassadors on hiking around Pokhara (with photos)
Gandaki: Ambassadors and distinguished diplomats from 11 different countries are expected to participate in this year’s World Tourism Day program in Pokhara.
The diplomats, who have been visiting Pokhara since Sunday at the formal invitation of the Gandaki state government, have started participating in various programs organized on the occasion of World Tourism Day.
According to the program, the diplomats have taken part in a short-distance hike from Kaskikot to Naudanda in the morning. After the hike, they will visit Pokhara International Mountain Museum and Davis Falls in the afternoon.
On the occasion of World Tourism Day, they will participate in a cultural program organized by Restaurant and Bar Association Pokhara in the evening and will observe the display of promotional materials from different places, traditional Nepali, and food festivals of different countries.
Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gandaki, Gyanendra Poudel said that the visit of the foreign diplomat to Pokhara was believed to be fruitful to send a positive message to the tourism of Pokhara affected by the Corona.
Ambassadors of Qatar, UAE, Finland, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Germany, and other heads of diplomatic missions including the Secretary-General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) are participating in the hike.
