Pasang Nurbu Sherpa makes fastest ascent on Mt Dhaulagiri
Kathmandu: Pasang Nurbu Sherpa has created a new record for ascending on Mt Dhaulagiri (8167m) as the fastest climber on October 7, 2021.
According to Thaneswar Guragai, manager at Seven summit treks, the mountaineering guide Pasang Nurbu Sherpa scaled the peak in 23 hours and 11 minutes.
The climber Sherpa hails from Sankhuwasabha, who created this record in the autumn season. Sherpa is reported to have made three ascents over 8000’ers.
Sherpa is also believed to have climbed Mt Manaslu twice on September 23. Earlier, on October 1, 21 other climbers had also scaled Mt Dhaulagiri.
